crew: Charley, Jeff, Greg, Eric, Maureen, Andrew
The forecast high winds slowly built. We were seeing steady 12-14 knot winds at the start and the gusts approached 20. It was a race down to Quonset and back, around R-8 then over to C-5. Rose of Sharon retired with what seemed to be a blown out jib. Overall crew performed well, but Shanachie did better and pulled ahead of us in the last quarter of the spinnaker run.

"Now let's see, the blue parts are water and the tan parts are the land. What are these little numbers?"
Most of the fleet headed out to the east as we moved away from the start.

Blood on the decks!
The notoriously slippery deck took it's toll while Eric was working foredeck.
